I had to throw this in... Molly is chasing Jeep... she can still play when she wants to. Jeep gets so excited!

Emmi and I had a field trip on the Portland Spirit. We take all of the preschool kids and their families (we have just over 100 preschool kids). We go every other year. Emmi was so excited to have mommy to herself. We went to lunch after the cruise with the preschool staff and Emmi ordered shrimp! That's my girl :)



This is the new preschool sign to celebrate 20 years... it is very cute!

Teacher for a Day!

One of the greatest joys of being 'Top Banana' for the week is getting to be the teacher. Emmi had her turn last week. She did a good job, I'm told... she was a little quiet, but knew what to do.

A future teacher? We'll have to wait and see. Right now she wants to be a vet, a groomer and work at the dentist with Grandma... kids!

A Wish...

We miss Oma! We are all so very sad that she could not come and visit. We hope that she will be able to come this summer. The kids had big plans for Oma... baseball games, basketball games and dinner plans (ribs topped the list). So, when Oma is feeling better we can't wait to get her to the NW!

Oma's Kitchen

This winter Oma got a new stove, a new dishwasher and a new microwave. Just for fun, she also got a new coffeemaker that matches the black and stainless theme.

The new Bosch range has lots of nice features including an extra large oven and and 3 different convection settings. The cooktop has just one knob to control the 4 burners -- we're stilling getting used to this.

We are using the dishwasher! It is a Kitchen Aid, does a good job cleaning and is very quiet.

The microwave is a Magic Chef we bought over at Menard's. Oma loves it.

Spring Break with a little sun!

For most of the week it was cold. We even had a fire going in the pellet stove. We stayed home, had friends over to play, organized a bit, read and just enjoyed.

Finally, the sun decided to show it's face for the weekend and it was gorgeous!

We got together with the Nesbitts for a little baseball practice and dinner on Sunday afternoon.
