My Kitty

My friend, took this picture of Emmi during her Noah's Ark Party at preschool. Since I cannot attend any of Emmi's parties, I am very grateful for her thoughtfulness. How cute and sassy is my kitty?!?!?!??!

Bad Dog!

Jeep has not eaten 1, but 2 remote controls over his short 18 month life. What is wrong with him? The first one I chalked up to being a puppy, but let's face it... that plastic cannot taste good! He didn't eat this one... he just stuck his teeth through the top of it. Doesn't matter, it doesn't work. I've now called and ordered 2 more remotes... we cannot have just one!

Moments

I turned from doing dishes last night to see my boys "trading" football cards. We are obsessed with football cards right now. They have found Daddy's weak point and can easily get him to buy more on their special outings for "bread".

I saw my three boys' heads from the back and was stunned at how big they have become. The three of them carrying on a conversation about their cards; justifying their trade. I stood still, trying to take it in. Before I knew it I had grabbed my camera... a chance to catch them together, unnoticed.

An Eventful Day

First stop... Oregon Zoo!

It was a beautiful fall day.

The tigers were active; probably because of the cool morning. They even started to play.

This is the new baby elephant that was born this fall. So cute...

Second Stop... Pumpkin Patch!

This evening in Kids Club the kids were able to visit a 117 year old farm. They learned (bees, sunflowers, soy beans), they saw (squash, pumpkins) and they tasted (apples & grapes). It was a nice evening and a beautiful farm (gorgeous flowers).

Trying the grapes...

Choosing a pumpkin...
This is mine!

Stefan gets his day

Daddy got some great photos of Stefan during Saturday's game. The team had listening issues, but I still love coaching them!

Not to leave Joey out... Their team was beat, bad... 9-1... ouch! Joey did score the only goal of the game; which was very exciting. I took a ball to the face... major OUCH! I think the boys learned a thing or two about hard work and focus.

Practice shots before the game... MOVE Coach -- I'm trying to take a picture!

Preparing for the throw-in. He did a great job catching his breath and surveying the field.

A much needed water break!

Can we get our costumes yet?

This is all I've heard for the last week... Can we get our costumes yet? The kids are excited for Halloween. The boys have outgrown all of the costumes in the bin and are ready to shop for something new. Should be a fun weekend for shopping for costumes... hopefully, they will keep it simple (of course they will... they have me for a mom). They are also ready to put up our few decorations... we will post pictures when they are up.

Another Soccer Weekend

Stefan's turn for soccer pics...

It was COLD Friday night!

We managed to get through 5 games (again) between the 3 kids. Everyone played well. Emmi scored 4 or 5 goals, we lost count. She had so much fun. Stefan scored 1 goal with many more attempts and he's learned to pass the ball. A coaches dream. Joey had a great game. He scored a beautiful goal with many more attempts. He also had a great assist. We love to watch the kids play. The best part about this weekend was that we had SUN! No pouring down rain.

Granite is in!

The picture above is more of the true coloring than the picture below.

The Granite has been installed and is beautiful. We are so happy with it. Now, Joe needs to plumb the sink and hook my dishwasher back up... right now I'm doing dishes in the laundry room. Emmi is my sidekick and dries everything.

Very Rainy

I can not begin to describe the amount of rain that came down Friday night. We had back-to-back soccer games... we were all soaked! Hot showers and pasta felt very good. Saturday we did it all again with all three kids playing. Again, so pics of Stefan... rain, 2 games at the same time and mom as coach does not allow for great picture taking. We'll get him photographed... soon.

Ohhh, Granite guys are here... more later!

Down Came the Rain

The rain has begun in the Pacific Northwest. It nicely stopped for most of Joey's soccer practice and then came down hard for the evening. It is refreshing. I prefer that it rain at night so that our days are stilled filled with plenty of outdoor enjoyment. Stefan and Emmi are already mentally preparing to play their games tonight in the rain. What does that mean for mom? Lots of wet, muddy laundry :)

Hmmm, the first day of October

Emmi came down wearing her orange and red striped pants... I love them. Today is a busy day. Emmi has music class this morning before preschool. Joey is off to swim team... Emmi and Stefan off to Kid's Club after school. Should be a full day.

Last night, we all enjoyed hanging out on the couch while I tested a book for my preschool class tomorrow. It is one of my favorite books from when I was a child. I began reading to Emmi and before long, both boys were right next to me. The power of word... makes a mom proud to know that two big boys will still snuggle up and enjoy.
