Tante's First Post

Here I am blogging... It's out of my comfort zone for sure but I'm feeling ready.
Except for getting tired of winter, Oma and I are doing fine. We've been working on a few projects around the house. The wall paper in the main bath upstairs has been taken down and replaced with a nice coat of paint that compliments the tile. We also have a new toilet in there--17" seat height to save our knees, water efficient and works great. Love it! Here's a picture:

It's a beauty.

We've made some improvments in the kitchen too. I'll have some pictures in my next post.
More news soon,
Love, Tante

Tante's Home

Tante flew home on Monday with a clean bill of health! She's only here for a short time, but we are all thrilled. We met her at the Children's Museum after swim team practice (Joey swam very hard). We had fun... the kids hadn't been in awhile; especially Joey so they just cruised from thing to thing for 2 hours. Then we headed to Stefan's swim lesson. Everyone was very tired last night from our long day, but they were very content because their tante is home!

The break is over...

Spring Break is over... back to reality. I'm back to my routine (that had wavered before the break) up at 6 to have peaceful time by myself and then the morning chaos of getting kiddos ready for school and then I head out to school. Mondays are always crazy... I always go to work early, I always feel as though I don't have enough time, and I always feel as though it gets me right into my routine.

I was looking over my teaching calendar last night and I was sad. Only 7 more weeks with my sweet little guys before I hand them over for the summer and they enter Kindergarten. Whew... time flies.

Tante is finally home, if only for a few days, she is home. We were all excited to see her, but none showed it more than Em. She had to show her her room (nothing had changed... still clothes on the floor) and do puzzles, and sing to her, etc. Very sweet.
